Healthy Hearts, Healthy Minds

Healthy Hearts, Healthy Minds consists of numerous programs for girls and boys.

It’s adventure day camp for Pro-D days.
It’s weekly, afterschool camp.
It’s spring break & summer camp.

It’s sisterhood.
It’s brotherhood.
It’s supporting each other so we can all get to the top together.

It’s leadership, sharing, personal growth and development.
It’s constructive, compassionate and empowering.
It’s about life’s choices.

It’s everything you dream of exposing your child to when you can’t be with them.

At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter to me if a kid hits the bulls-eye in archery. It doesn’t matter if they get to the top of the climbing wall. Sure, it’s fun, but it’s more about what it does for that child when they achieve those things, what it does for the child on the sideline cheering them on. That’s ‘camp’ – and that’s why it’s one of the biggest loves of my life.

What to expect

Healthy Hearts, Healthy Minds includes archery, arts and crafts, orienteering, drama & music, educational field trips, and all sorts of team initiatives. It’s about trying new and challenging activities to give children and teens an opportunity to experience the value of being open to learning, trying, “failing” and persevering.

At HHHM we show kids that attempting something for the first time may never be easy – but the more you put into something – the more you’ll get out of it.

We help children learn to pay attention to even the most “insignificant” aspects one’s decisions, because no matter how small the outcome can be huge: If an archer pivots their body just a fraction they can send their arrow off into a completely different direction.

We work with that analogy on every level. We always have a choice to make about who we are in the world. Who we want to be to the world.

Healthy Hearts, Healthy Minds gives children the chance to see the change they wish to be in the world – and the skills to do it.
